Newcastle out of drop zone!

Posted by: ប៊ី Bee on: May 12, 2009

I woke up this morning delighted to see the 3-1 scoreline in favour of Newcastle. Alan Shearer threw up his hands in jubilation as the team from Tyneside recorded their first home win in months against the team from Teeside in a hugely anticipated derby. Newcastle now moved up to fourth from bottom thanks to a better goal difference than Hull City.

Newcastle had a horrible start to the game when Habib Beye scored an own goal three minutes after the start, only for Steven Taylor to head home a blistering header to give the magpies some hope. Alan Shearer made a huge gamble in replacing Michael Owen with Obefemi Martins, who went on to score 55 seconds after coming on as a substitute. Another shearer’s sub, Lovenkrands made sure that three points were in the bank when he slid home four minutes from time. A great match though I felt really sorry for Borough.

With two more games till the end of the season, I believe we only need one more win, and with such confidence, it should come against Fulham at home next weekend. Come on YOU TOON!!!
